The heavy absorbency style has two extra absorbency layers. It's designed for bladder leakage, heavy periods and postpartum bleeding. 

Key tip for periods - don't go with the heavy absorbency style, unless you really need to. The moderate absorbency style will often be suitable to be worn during the heaviest flow of a standard period (often the start). The regular absorbency style is perfect for every other day of your period.
