The Lelit Fred burr grinder in some ways represents an evolution of the Imat grinder (which we have sold and supported for many years). Improvements include a stepless grinding adjustment wheel which enables the perfect grind setting to be dialed in for your equipment. The Lelit Fred is simple to use and adjust and has a sturdy stainless steel body and features high quality conical burrs. The Lelit's stainless dispensing nozzle, larger bean hopper and quieter operation are further upgrades on the previous model, whilst the small footprint has been retained. A burr grinder works by crushing the beans between two evenly spaced metal cones (the burrs), which are serrated to grip the beans. The fineness of the grind is controlled by the distance between the burrs. The result is a very fine & consistent grind, something which is essential for making good espresso coffee.
